SUPER DELICIOUS 15 MIN Thai Steamed Fish with Garlic & Lime

Thai Steamed Fish is one of the easiest Thai dishes which you can easily cook at home. Some of you might be worried that your fish will turn out fishy. A tip to reduce fishy taste is to ensure that you remove as much blood as you can from the fish during cleaning. Once you have done this, your fish should be fine. Of course, the fish you use must also be fresh. A tip to determine freshness is to see its eyes. The eyes of the fish must be clear and bright, not cloudy.

Serves 4

700g fish (we used golden pomfret)
3 tablespoons of fresh lime juice (or add more as you wish)
5 cloves of garlic – minced
1 stalk of cilantro (Chinese parsley) – chopped finely
1 stalk of lemongrass (use only white portion – chopped)
1/2 ikan billis (anchovies) stock cube
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
1 tablespoon of fish sauce
4 pieces of bird’s eye chilli – cut finely
1/2L of water
1/2 teaspoon of salt
